London-based JayKay Media Inc was founded by Juliana Koranteng, a business journalist, editor, published author of B2B books and reports, and media consultant. The company specialises in writing and publishing news reports, features and analytical reports on the international media and entertainment businesses, including film, TV, music, sport, video games,global marketing, live entertainment, book publishing, fashion, architecture, art, and related copyright issues. That experience inspired the creation of JayKay Media Inc’s flagship brand MediaTainment Finance, the business journal focusing on investments in the international creative, media and entertainment sectors, and how they can learn from each other’s negotiation and navigation of the new digital-technology landscape. MediaTainment Finance is supported by the newsletter TechMutiny, which focuses on the technologies disrupting and revolutionising the creative sectors.
Digital Media Consultancy
The vast knowledge of JayKay Media’s team and their respected views on the future of digital media have led to various editorial-consultancy assignments at Time Inc; Eurosport; CISAC, the international organisation responsible for the collection of royalties earned by rock stars, film producers, authors and other media creators; Nokia, where they were invited to give their views on the future of digital media and entertainment at the company's headquarters in Finland; Semetric, the international music-tech service provider; Reed MIDEM, the international TV and screen-based content trade show organisation, which commissioned JayKay Media and Boutique Editions to produce Building The New Digital Content Market, a report on the digital strategists of tomorrow. JayKay Media has also been producing a series of White Papers called Outside The Box for Reed MIDEM. Their journalism and media assignments have taken them to New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Orlando (Florida), Atlanta (Georgia), Hong Kong, Auckland, Wellington, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Brussels, Berlin, Milan, Rome, Madrid, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Jordan and Accra.

Juliana Koranteng’s more than 15 years' experience ranges from filing news reports and features for international news magazines, UK and US national newspapers, trade publications, online news services, writing business books and reports, to being commissioned to write speeches and ghost write for Prince Albert of Monaco.

Her work has appeared in leading business and news publications such as Advertising Age, the Economist, The Washington Post, The Hollywood Reporter, news agency Reuters, and TIME magazine, where she wrote about ground-breaking developments in digital marketing from 1999 to 2001.
As contributing editor at Billboard magazine, the US “music-industry bible”, she's an experienced music-business journalist. She has a similar role as a correspondent for Boutique Editions, contract publisher of the high-quality daily magazines distributed at the international festivals and trade shows on TV, films, music, and advertising in Cannes, and is UK editor at Rockol.com, the Italy-based international consumer and industry music news service.
Koranteng was also features editor for New York-based The Internationalist, which covers the global marketing and sponsorship sectors, from 2007 to 2010, and was associate editor of LPA movingPictures, the international film-industry online marketing platform.Her other achievements include originating, developing and selling New Media Age, the pioneering UK magazine covering digital media, to Centaur Media (the publisher of Marketing Week magazine).In the TV profession, she had a stint as reporter/producer on the international news desk at satellite-TV network Sky News.
Koranteng has a Master's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, Chicago; an English Language and Literature honours degree from the University of Wales, Swansea; and The French Chamber of Commerce's Business Language diploma.
